Welcome to The Well@Lent Rise, a Christian charity, working in the heart of the Lent Rise Community, providing a welcoming place for local people to gain support and to connect with others without judgement or prejudice .
Back in August, we watched with sadness as Hurricane Harvey decimated Houston in Texas. Craft Hope sent out a message to crafters around the world asking for all who could, to make a quilt or send a blanket. These quilts would be given to people rebuilding their lives or to some of the first responders who worked bravely and tirelessly helping those in need. The Well Stitchers sent the small quilt pictured above with love and best wishes. We hope it brings comfort and warmth to someone in need.
Many thanks to the lovely Igan and Waafa Hyati at May’s Chocolate Shop in Burnham, who raise £385 for Well At Lent Rise‘ Alzheimer Dementia Support group. The group will run from 2pm – 4pm every Friday afternoon, in Burnham Methodist Church hall, and will offer support and care for anyone with a diagnosis of Dementia, and their carers. Thanks to Waafa and Igan, BBHPT, and Chiltern and South Bucks District Council for their support
Our group of Stitchers at the Meeting Place have been busy creating four wall hangings for Burnham Methodist Church. The hangings took a year to make and show the four seasons, four times of day and each has a different bible quotation. Drop into the Meeting Place on any Wednesday morning to see them.
